A letter from our principal:

Katherine Spillman, Principal

As we stand on the threshold of a momentous occasion – Mount St. Mary Academy’s 100th year – I am filled with immense pride and a deep sense of gratitude. For a century, this institution has nurtured young women of exceptional character, fostering academic excellence and a lifelong love of learning.

Our centennial serves not only as a recognition of our past, but also as a celebration for the future. We are embarking on an exciting new chapter, guided by our recently developed long range strategic plan. This collaborative effort, informed by the voices of our entire MSM community, keeps academic excellence at the forefront, ensuring our curriculum remains vibrant and relevant in an ever-evolving world. It also emphasizes the holistic development of our students, nurturing their intellectual curiosity, social responsibility, and spiritual well-being. Our long range strategic plan also prioritizes financial sustainability, communication and engagement across all stakeholders as well as the whole WNY community, and support for strong leadership within our organization.

As we plan for the future, we remain firmly rooted in the values that have defined Mount St. Mary Academy since 1927 – intellectual curiosity, spiritual growth, and social responsibility. We honor the traditions that have shaped us even as we embrace new opportunities to empower our young women to make a positive impact on the world. Together, we will build upon this legacy, ensuring that the young women who walk through our doors are empowered to become the leaders, innovators, and compassionate changemakers of tomorrow.
