Our Future

Mount St. Mary Academy, with its rich history and enduring commitment to excellence, proudly unveils this strategic plan. This document serves as a roadmap for our future, outlining our aspirations for the coming years and the key initiatives that will guide us in achieving them.

Developed through a collaborative process involving faculty, staff, students, parents, alumnae, and the broader Mount St. Mary Academy community, this plan reflects our shared vision for educating young women who are intellectually curious, ethically grounded, and empowered to make a positive impact on the world.

The pillars of our plan include: a commitment to a whole-person focus, ensuring our students thrive academically, spiritually, socially, and emotionally. Superior academic programming that fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning.  Developing new revenue streams, so we can strengthen our financial sustainability and ensure the long-term viability of our school. Prioritizing communication and engagement, with the goal of strengthening relationships with and between students, families, faculty, staff, and alumnae. Finally, we recognize the importance of supporting strong leadership, so that our school will continue to be guided with vision and integrity.

This strategic plan is not a static document, but rather a living and breathing guide that will be reviewed and adjusted as we reach our goals and set new ones.  Our commitment to continuous improvement ensures that Mount St. Mary Academy remains at the forefront of secondary education, offering exceptional opportunities for generations to come.

This plan is a reflection of the deep commitment our stakeholders have to Mount St. Mary Academy. We are so appreciative of their willingness to dream alongside us, as we look to further solidify MSM’s role as a leader in Catholic education and in the WNY community.  We are especially grateful to the Mount’s leadership team for their earnest partnership and to the Board of Trustees’ Strategic Planning Committee for their tireless work to create a plan that will ensure the vitality of our organization for years to come.

Creating this plan was a labor of love, but the real work starts now as we take deliberate and enthusiastic steps toward bringing our plan to life.  I encourage you to review the plan and to reach out if you have any questions or would like to get involved in helping us achieve our goals.

With Gratitude,

Colleen M. Allen ‘98
